These double portraits were inspired by playing cards and are created by integrating portrait paintings by the 'Old Masters' with photographs of appropriate animals and or modern personalities.
In some cases I used the dog portraits & the cat portraits from the collection called Animal Ancestors.
The idea is to create a picture so seamless that it is difficult to tell where one begins and the other ends.
I designed these specifically for a line of jigsaw puzzles. Sadly, I did not sell the idea.
I still think it was a good one for people who like really HARD puzzles.
